Twitter will also correct spellings, which basically means that if the user misspells a term, Twitter will automatically show results for the intended query.
Related suggestions:
If you search for a topic for which multiple terms are used, the site will provide relevant suggestions for terms where the majority of thatconversation is happening on Twitter.
Results with real names and usernames:
If you search for a name, the site will show results mentioning that person’s real name as well as their Twitter account username.
Results from people you follow:
In addition to seeing ‘All’ or ‘Top’ Tweets for their search, users can also now see Tweets about a given topic from only the users they follow (that is if there are any available in the first place) when they select the ‘People you follow’ view. For example, if you search for Olympics 2012, you will find all the tweets aboutthat event done by the people you follow on Twitter.
