Fujitsu Unveil Stylistic Q702 and LifeBook T902 Hybrid Tablets, Ready for Windows 8

I can see that there’s a trend right now of announcing Windows 8-ready devices, ahead of the launch of the OS this fall. Two new models that are Windows 8 ready are Fujitsu’s Stylistic Q702 and LifeBook T902, that are business hybrid slates and can be admired below.

The Stylistic Q702 is a business hybrid model and the LifeBook T902 is more of a convertible tablet PC. The 11.6 inch Stylistic Q702 relies on the Intel Ivy Bridge in the Core i3 or i5 version and it weighs 1.88 pounds, plus it features two USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports, SD/SDHC card slots and a HDMI port. Inside there’s also an Intel HD Graphics 4000 GPU, 4GB of RAM and you can add a keyboard dock in the mix, for an extra USB port, Ethernet jack, VGA port and up to 9 hours of battery life.
Storage options include a 64GB and 128GB mSATA SSD. Moving on to the convertible unit, the Fujitsu LifeBook T902 is a notebook that can turn into a slate. It weighs much more and offers your choice of Ivy Bridge Core i5 or i7 processor, up to 16GB of DDR3-1600 RAM and a built in modular bay for the use of a secondary battery, HDD or optical drive. There’s also a spill resistant keyboard here and a touchpad, plus a ton of security feats. Both models will launch with Windows 7 Professional initially. The Stylistic Q702 will cost $1,099 and the LifeBook T902 $1,899.
