While everyone is wondering what HTC is thinking not dipping into the tablet biz a bit than through the HTC Flyer, it appears that they’re actually preparing a new slate after all. The Taiwanese firm usually makes smartphones, but a spokesperson for HTC told PC Advisor that actually they will launch a new tablet in the UK this year. No release date was mentioned just yet, but what we do know is that the product will be an unique one. HTC is developing the tablet itself and it will make it pack an unique selling point. We can only speculate right now, but one thing is for sure: the device will run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and it most likely will have a stylus and the HTC Scribe technology from the HTC Flyer, but in a more evolved version, maybe. HTC has launched the Jetstream tablet, it’s through, but that one failed to arrive in Europe and Asia.
HTC must be careful to price the device right and give it top notch specs, like a quad core CPU. Last I heard, before MWC 2012, it was rumored that HTC would make a quad core tablet dubbed Quattro. I guess we’ll have to wait and see, right?
